Scammers Exploit AI to Spread False Information The fraudulent video, widely circulated on social media, features a realistic but fake version of Brad Garlinghouse. In the video, the CEO appears to announce a “100 million XRP airdrop” as a gesture of gratitude. He claims it is to thank the community for supporting Ripple during its legal battle with the SEC. However, the video is not genuine. It was created using advanced AI technology, commonly known as a deepfake.
