Approved by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), these futures contracts are part of B3’s broader strategy to increase accessibility and address long-standing challenges related to the custody of digital assets, particularly for smaller financial institutions. Ethereum and Solana futures will be denominated in US dollars, with each contract representing 0.25 ETH and 5 SOL respectively. This design reflects B3’s intention to mirror global standards while offering Brazilian investors a convenient and secure gateway to the broader crypto market. “B3 is introducing new cryptocurrency derivatives instruments to meet the growing demand for products linked to crypto assets. We aim to offer alternatives to investors already familiar with blockchain technology, while bringing more innovation and sophistication to our portfolio,” said Marcos Skistymas, B3 Product Director.
