KuCoin launches UBS uMINT collateral trading through DigiFT

KuCoin announced Tuesday support for UBS uMINT, which was launched by UBS Asset Management and distributed through DigiFT. The firm said the initiative aims to help institutional tokenholders utilize their tokenized assets as off-exchange collateral. The cryptocurrency exchange is the first platform to support UBS uMINT, which is built on the Ethereum distributed ledger technology and issued under UBS Tokenize, UBSโs in-house tokenization service. It said the initiative will enable efficient trading on virtual assets and access to a wider array of alternative digital asset investments offered by KuCoin. KuCoin said the initiative represents an advancement in the crypto sector, which aims to expand the use of tokenized real-world assets to real-world applicable trading capabilities. It added that it mirrors RWA holdings with stablecoin equivalents without transferring ownership.
