Grayscale, the cryptocurrency-focused asset manager and ETF issuer, continues to take innovative steps in 2025. Grayscale made a big move at this point, announcing that it had filed a confidential Form S-1 for an IPO with the SEC on July 14 under a new clause allowing for confidential filings ahead of the eventual IPO. In a formal statement, Garyscale announced that it filed a confidential Form S-1 for an initial public offering (IPO) with the SEC on July 14. The number of shares and price range have not yet been determined. The registration process will proceed after SEC review, subject to market and other conditions. This filing comes as a process for listing cryptocurrency companies on Wall Street reopens under the Donald Trump administration. If the application is approved, Grayscale will join Coinbase and Circle as another major cryptocurrency company to go public this cycle. As is well known, last month Circle Internet Group (CRCL), one of the largest stablecoin issuers, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. Following Circle’s massive IPO, Gemini and Bullish also filed for IPOs.
