Nasdaq-listed Tech Company Plans to Purchase $50 Million Worth of This Altcoin

Digital ophthalmic technology company Eyenovia announced that it has signed a $50 million private equity investment (PIPE) agreement with institutional investors. With this funding, the company plans to create a cryptocurrency reserve by purchasing HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid blockchain, and change the company’s name to “Hyperion DeFi.” Its new ticker symbol will be “HYPD.” Eyenovia has also appointed Hyunsu Jung as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Board Member to lead its crypto treasury strategy. According to the company’s press release, the $50 million investment will offer investors non-voting preferred stock, convertible into approximately 15.4 million shares at $3.25 per share, and approximately 30.8 million shares of stock at the same price (warrant). If the warrants are fully exercised, Eyenovia’s total gross revenue could reach $150 million.
