WSJ Targets Binance Founder CZ Again! Claims He Worked for Trump! CZ’s Response Was Quick!

Trying to combat the WSJ news, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) shared a post against another fake WSJ news. Accordingly, WSJ claimed that CZ was acting as an intermediary for the US President Donald Trump-backed crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI). The WSJ alleged that WLFI co-founder Steve Witkoff (a former Trump administration Middle East envoy) and his son Zach supported WLFI in the region, with CZ facilitating business as well. CZ denied the WSJ’s allegations, arguing that the WSJ was malicious and that this was not journalism. CZ said that the WSJ recently sent him some questions, but that their questions were based on biased assumptions and factual inaccuracies, adding that they did not write the facts. CZ said that the WSJ asked him, “Are you establishing the overseas connections of the Trump-backed project WLFI?” CZ stated that they asked many questions like this and that they told them there was “a lot of misinformation and baseless inferences.” CZ, who stated that he did not answer these questions and denied the allegations, said that despite this, WSJ did not write the facts, but on the contrary, they reported in line with their own malicious inferences, “The person who helped facilitate some promotions for World Liberty’s overseas trips is Changpeng Zhao, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance…” CZ, who explained the facts, emphasized that he neither promoted the WLF nor had any personal ties with the aforementioned officials. “Another smear article from the Wall Street Journal. This is not how journalism should be done. ….. The WSJ later published: “The person who helped facilitate some of the publicity for World Liberty’s overseas trips was Changpeng Zhao, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance…” Real: I am not anyone’s go-between. I did not “introduce Mr. Saqib to the WLF team.” They had known each other for a long time, and I first met Mr. Saqib in Pakistan. I did not “make any introductions for World Liberty’s trips abroad.” “WSJ is just a mouthpiece. There are forces in the US that want to thwart efforts to make the US the capital of crypto. They want to attack crypto, global crypto leaders, and pro-crypto governments.” Another hit piece from Wall Street Journal. WSJ instead of doing journalism, has pretty much resorted to Cunningham’s Law, with negative intentions. “Cunningham’s Law: The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question; it’s to post the wrong answer.”… — CZ BNB (@cz_binance) May 23, 2025 *This is not investment advice.
