Japanese firm Metaplanet has purchased 1,004 Bitcoins at 15.13 million yen per BTC. The company’s total Bitcoin holdings reached 7,800 BTC, worth 105.38 billion yen. The firm’s Bitcoin purchase has increased despite BTC’s volatile price in the past weeks. Metaplanet has purchased an additional 1,004 Bitcoin at an average price of 15.13 million yen per coin (approximately $105,000). The purchase was made public in an official notice dated May 19, 2025. This brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 7,800 BTC. According to a document signed by Metaplanet’s Representative Director, Simon Gerovich, the latest purchase cost a total of 15.19 billion yen, around $105.5 million.
