Standard Chartered Bank, with assets of $1.1 trillion, has forecasted that Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high in the second quarter of 2025. The bank’s head of global digital asset research, Geoffrey Kendrick, predicts Bitcoin will surge to $120,000 during this period, driven by factors such as U.S. investors shifting towards non-U.S. assets. Kendrick also maintains a year-end target of $200,000 for Bitcoin, suggesting a continued bullish outlook. He advises investors to ‘buy bitcoin now,’ citing it as ‘hard to be bearish about BTC.’ This prediction is supported by recent trends in the U.S. Treasury term premium, strong accumulation by large investors, and a shift in exchange-traded fund (ETF) flows from gold to Bitcoin, indicating a strategic reallocation towards the cryptocurrency as a hedge against financial system risks.
