The post Cardano Founder & Ethereum Co-Founder Says Ethereum Won’t Survive 10 Years – Here’s Why appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News Cardano founder and an early co-founder of Ethereum, Charles Hoskinson, recently said Ethereum might not even survive the next 10 to 15 years. That’s right, the man who helped build Ethereum is now saying it could collapse under its own weight. But the question arises here: Is this just Cardano trying to grab headlines, or is there real trouble ahead for ETH? Let’s break it down. Why does he think so? Ethereum’s Layer 2 Problems? During a recent Altcoin Daily discussion, Charles Hoskinson didn’t hold back his thoughts on Ethereum. He said Ethereum is becoming harder to manage and is now depending too much on Layer 2 networks to fix its scaling issues. He even compared Ethereum to once-popular tech giants like Myspace, a social networking service, and Blackberry, a popular brand of smartphone companies that were huge at one point but couldn’t keep up with newer and better ideas. In his words, Ethereum is becoming a “victim of its own success,” struggling to adapt as the crypto space keeps evolving. Hoskinson Faces Massive Criticism As expected, the crypto community reacted with mixed opinions. One user slammed Hoskinson , saying, “The guy who copied Ethereum and made it worse is now predicting its death?” Others, however, agreed, warning that Ethereum’s endless delays and complex upgrades are pushing users away. Ethereum’s Latest Upgrade: Scroll Even with the criticism, Ethereum developers are busy building a new upgrade. Scroll, one of Ethereum’s Layer 2 projects, just announced a huge upgrade called “Euclid.” This promises to cut gas fees by 90% and boost network performance. The team says it’s the biggest update since launch, so ETH isn’t going down without a fight. ETH Price Still Struggles Although Ethereum continues to work on newer upgrades, its native token, ETH, is facing a tough time as ETH is down nearly 360% from its all-time high of $4,878 . At the same time, newer blockchains like Solana are becoming more popular. Hoskinson’s comment may sound harsh, but it reflects a growing concern in the community.
