Japan cracks Monero money laundering case, arrests 18

Japan’s National Police Agency and a joint task force of nine prefectural police forces have arrested 18 individuals, including the suspected leader, Yuta Kobayashi. Kobayashi, who has no known address or occupation, is accused of using stolen credit card information to pull off a series of fraudulent transactions.
