Turkey Plans to Regulate and Tax Cryptocurrencies in Upcoming Legislative Package

The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, disclosed plans to include cryptocurrencies in the upcoming tax framework. Currently, the existing legislative package does not address cryptocurrencies, but the next one is expected to specifically cover them. Şimşek emphasized this as a strategic initiative to introduce more regulation and oversight to the burgeoning cryptocurrency market.
