$71 Million Cyber Heist: Vietnamese Hackers Exploited Cryptocurrency Exchanges

The blockchain industry continues to face security challenges as the US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey has charged four Vietnamese nationals associated with the FIN9 hacking collective. The identified perpetrators have allegedly inflicted more than $71 million in damages to US companies through sophisticated cyberattacks spanning from May 2018 to October 2021.
